See my car? It's in my favourite carpark lot ... why is it my favourite car park lot u ask ? ... Well, it's right next to this door ....



Which leads to this short staircase ...



Which leads straight to my lift lobby ... (and this short walkway is sheltered too) .. !!



And there ... my lift lobby ...

Plus it's a SINGLE lot ... no cars next to me .. so no chance of car doors hitting mine .. etc etc ...



Now this is my arch enemy .. this blardy white Odyssey ... every damn day, we compete for the said lot .. as u can see, this day the pic is taken, Uncle LOST the lot to me ... HAHAHAHAAH!

That isn't always the case of course ... some days when I go out and come back at 5 plus .. I enter the carpark entrance and SWEAR loudly cos he is parked in my lot ... I call it my lot .. cos it's mine lor.

Yeah, so the lot that he is in is also right next to the "exit" door .. what's the big diff? .. Well, it's not a SINGLE lot .. hahahahah ... so yes, he and I are cordial to each other .. we wave and smile and even exchange pleasantries in the lift (he stays in my block of course) ... but every blardy day .. it's a fight to the death for that SINGLE lot ..

You'd think that since I'm a HOUSEWIFE, I'm sure to get the lot everyday but nooooooooo, I have to chauffeur my girls up and down leaving my beloved lot EMPTY and open for the taking .. and dunno what kind of job uncle does, he always seems to be able to get home from work so blardy early it's damn irritating ... I can make a grocery run to nearby Causeway Point for barely an hour .. get home at 5 and my lot has been stolen by him.

Hubby says I'm too free ... but eh, it's not just in my head lor .. the competition is real ..

Recently, to my absolute horror, I've found other damn residents also vying for this coveted lot ... DAMN THEM ALL TO HELL.

29 weeks pregnant ..

Someone commented recently that she expected me to look bigger at this stage (7 months pregnant) ...
Eh, wa lau eh ... I'm already BIG .. there is no reason for me to look bigger ... I'd look like a WHALE.
Anyway, good news is, I've only gained 2kg so far .. so no worries :)

Gawd, my arms look HUGE.

My life has returned to normal ...

Actually, it returned to normal by Monday .. the house was back to its pristine condition ... YAY! My maid got back on Saturday nite .. it was the happiest car ride to the airport to pick her up ... she had earlier smsed me to remind me not to forget .. and as I was reading the sms on my phone, I was SNORTING .. As if I'd forget .. I was telling hubby ... I've been counting down to her arrival back eversince she LEFT 2 weeks earlier .. lol.

She came back to not a mountain of clothes .. but a whole mountain range of them ... CLEAN clothes at least .. she methodically started ironing them and keeping them away much to my utter happiness ... I love my maid. She is WONDERFUL. I've had her working for me for the last 2 years plus and she is THE BEST !! I have no qualms about taking her everywhere with me .. to nice restaurants etc and before she left, I bought her daughter stuff and gave her most of Claudia's clothes which she had outgrown ... decent stuff from Osh Kosh, Ralph Lauren etc. She is really an asset to my family and all of us missed her dearly while she was away .. she telephoned me once when she was away and sms-ed me every few days to see how we were .. how sweet was that?

Of course, I took that opportunity to complain about my general suffering .. hahahahah ... and I wasn't LYING ok?!! I was dying .. I had the flu and pregnant and taking care of my 3 kids and the house and the dogs ... it was TOUGH. hahahahaha.

I will miss her when she goes home permanently in May after working for me for close to 3 years .. *sob*

Saw my gynae today ...

I just hit my 29th week ... and baby is right on track for weight and size .. she weighs about 1.5 kg now ... so she SHOULD be lighter than my previous baby, Emily, at birth ... Emily was SUPPOSED to be about 3.2 kg .. but when she made her arrival, she was a hefty 3.9 kg ... I almost fainted when they told me .. lol. I am not keen on having a HUGE baby come out of me .. give me 3.2-3.4kg and I"m perfectly happy ... hope this one will fall within my ideal weight range ...

Was surfing around the Disney Vacation website ... oh wow, the prices of the resorts have come down by so much !! I did a calculation and it's really really very affordable !! And with the current exchange rate (yes, it has gone up somewhat .. but it's still better than in 2004 when we went) ... it makes going to Disney World Florida very affordable .. the only thing is for me, the last time we went .. the cost escalated cos I was very ... errrr ... happy to buy souvenirs from the Disney shops ... I think just on souvenirs alone, I spent close to US$500 .. then there was also the factory outlet shopping .. and we dined at nice places too while we were there ... all that really added to the cost .. lol.

But it was fun. No point going on a holiday if you can't buy stuff ...

Gosh, I miss the States ...

Was chatting with a friend on the phone last nite .. she was in the States too at around the same time we were ... good times those were ... sigh.

I miss Texas (yes, the whole state - especially San Antonio) and even New Mexico (Land of Enchantment) which was where we were based ... in an air force base there ...

Claudia misses it too .. she attended kindergarten there ... she misses the weather and our nice big yard ... we bought her a huge swing set with a slide too ...

I miss the weather .... and the travel opportunities ... we drove everywhere ... in our big, 3.3 litre Dodge Grand Caravan ... the scenery was awesome wherever we drove to - even on the way to California ... which though was flat and the scenery sucked somewhat ... it was still better than here ...

I miss Seaworld ... and the really nice zoos we visited while we were there .. in New Orleans and San Diego ...

And of course, Disneyland and Disneyworld .. which we visited a couple of times ... and the Grand Canyon ... and Colorado Springs which we also visited a couple of times ..

I had a dream about the resort we stayed at in DisneyWorld the last trip we went on just after Lauren was born .. and just before we came back to damn Singapore ...

At that point we had just been to New Orleans the year before .. and I kinda liked the place so I booked us in Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter ... the rates for that resort which was categorized as "moderate" was very affordable ... gosh, it was a nice resort ... DisneyWorld is a great place to visit ... everyone should go at least ONCE in their life.

We're planning to visit DisneyWorld for our next holiday ... guess now we have to wait till Baby Number 4 is slightly older and more mobile before we can plan anything ... gosh, I can't imagine lugging FOUR kids all the way there ... lol :)

Shopping!

I really like Gap stuff ... their kiddy stuff anyway ... I got tees for Lauren and Emily this time around and a pair of shoes for Claudia .. also a romper for my new baby and this adorable pair of white newborn shoes .. isn't it LURVELY?!!

Finding a Chinese ethnic costume when it's NOT CNY

it's like hunting for a needle in a haystack I swear ... !!

Claudia tells me last week that her choir teacher (yes, she's in the choir) wants them to wear a red Chinese ethnic costume for the upcoming Mid-Autumn performance ..

I felt like cursing ...

Look, we're not Chinese ... OF COURSE, we wouldn't have a Chinese ethnic costume on hand, and IN RED no less ... so of course, it meant WE had to go out and hunt for one.

There I was ... 7 months pregnant, with 3 kids ... toddling around Yishun central valiantly looking for ANY shop selling Chinese outfits 5 months or so AFTER Chinese New Year ...

It was hot and I was tired and I was (and still am) down with the flu .. and of course, we didn't have any luck ...

I knew my last hope was to go to Chinatown ...

sigh

When was the last time any of you went strolling around Chinatown? It's not exactly Orchard ... Coincidentally, one of my friends had gone to People's Park Complex that day to run an errand with her parents so I asked her to just look around that area ... she called me back to tell me that she did not see any such shops in People's Park selling Chinese outfits ..

I was stumped.

No Chinese outfits selling in Chinatown ..

Then what the hell were they selling if not Chinese stuff? Isn't it Chinatown?

Anyway, thankfully, my brother-in-law's wife informed me that there was one place in Chinatown I could try ...

So we rushed down on Friday evening to this buliding next to OG .. it's called .. Yue Hwa Chinese Products at Eu Tong Sen Street ...

And YES, they had Chinese outfits galore ...

Managed to get a nice red cheongsam for Claudia for only $31 and since I was already there, I decided to get one for Lauren at $42 .. I will get them to try them on and take pics soon ..

The blardy teacher better be thankful we trudged all the way there to get the dress ...

I'm beat ....

Guess it's cos I'm approaching my 3rd trimester ... *yawn* .. and becos, my right hand man, my trusty sidekick ... Khalimah, has gone home for the next 2 weeks ... *sob* ..

I swear I nearly cried at the airport ... waving her off at the gate .. she had initially wanted to go back for only a week but I thought it would be pointless ... might as well make it 2 so she can properly visit her hubby and daughter ... (her daughter's the same age as Lauren) ..

So, anyway .. Stanley has been pitching in bathing the 2 younger ones and feeding them at mealtimes ... thank god. I'm so tired in the mornings .. thankfully, it's the holidays this week so I don't have to ferry anyone to school ..

I'm adopting the "one outfit a day" policy .... under no circumstance is anyone supposed to change clothes for fun .. or some little itty bitty stain .. this is of course to reduce my laundry load and hence my work ...

We watched Wall-E ... that was a nice movie .. much better than Kungfu Panda ...

Ok, I'm off to give my 2 younger girls a bath ..
