I have a new phone !!

Yes, hubby decided to get me a belated birthday/wedding anniversary gift .. he got me a RED Samsung Omnia .. !!! Yay!!

Ok, let me first say .. while the touchscreen is cool .. it is a damn pain in the a** when it comes to SMS-ing ...

Damn it. Hubby was saying that now it'll take me at least 5 min to respond to an SMS.

Ya, man .. plus Nokia interface is sooooo userfriendly (admittedly) .. that it's hard to switch to something else .. in this case, the Omnia is running on Windows Mobile .. ie it's a Pocket PC .. so if you (like me) prefer the Palm OS .. then the Omnia is not for you.

There goes my "SMS-ing while driving" days. LOL !

So while the Omnia LOOKS cool ... if you're like me and rack up 1000 sms-es in a month, then stick to a Nokia.

Pet dryer ...

yes, it's like a hair dryer but for dogs ...

Hubby has decided that he wants to bathe our Golden Retriever instead of sending her for grooming on alternate weeks .. the aim isn't so much to save money but it's so that we can groom her more often ... bathing her isn't really that difficult .. hubby brings her down to the basement carpark of our condo and connects a hose to the tap there and starts bathing her (much like how u would wash your car .. haha) ... we can't bathe her in our bathrooms cos her fur will choke up my floordrain. Bathing her isn't the problem .. DRYING her is ... I can't use my hairdryer cos she's too big and has too much fur ... I've tried believe me, and my hairdryer died first before I even got halfway to drying her body. It didn't die really ... just overheated and then we had to wait for a really long time for it to work again.

So here's what it looks like ... we bought it off the net from the States .. they have something similar here but of course more expensive (duh .. stupid petshops here) .. even with shipping to Singapore, it was still cheaper to get it online ..

huh.

I need an large LCD screen above my car...

so that I can tell other drivers exactly what I think about their awful driving and not just flash/honk/gesture rudely to them ...

I had tea at Centrepoint with a girlfriend yesterday .. On the way back, just outside Centrepoint .. well, around that area, a bus was trying to force his way out of the freaking bus lane ... and coming inches within in my side mirror. Of course, I honked. IN CASE HE DIDN'T NOTICE THAT HE WAS ABOUT TO HIT ME ... (yeah right)

He continued inching towards my car .. eh, come on, . there was no way to give way cos nobody was moving since it was a red light ahead (we were slightly near the Meridien) ... but UNCLE continued to move his bus into my car .. HE should've either waited for me to go past then try to get behind my car (when the lights turned green) . -- since he was already almost next to my car, i have to completely stop if I wanted to give way to him .. but noooooooooo, uncle decided to do things this way .. of course, I honked at him like there was no tomorrow .. hahahaha.

In any case, he purposely accelerated and barrelled his bus right out out of hte laneto get in front of me (when the lights turned) , nearly taking out my side mirror .. (na bey) .. and as he propelled the bus into the lane next to mine (effectively cutting across from the bus lane to the 3rd lane), I realized it wasn't an SBS bus but one of those Hippo buses ...

It's not like I wouldn't have given way to him had he lifted his hand out of the bus window . I do all the time when other drivers are courteous .. but when they are thuggish .. and threaten to take out my side mirrors .. it's irritating, man .. and I don't like giving way to people like that.

as we I drove up right next to him, I glared at him and lifted my hand as if to say "What the hell, man?!" and he was also busying thumping his chest with his palm as if to say .. "Wa, I so scared you honk me!" ... ok, I lost it and rolled down my window to gesture rudely and mouth the words "STOOPID" .. but since I was in the turning lane .. (the shared lane .. lane number 2) and he was going straight .. his bus moved off first before I had a chance to ..

My friend was in my back seat .. laughing cos she's never witnessed me err, doing things like this. hahahahah :)

Actually, I've always thought it was a bad idea to have that bus stop so near the junction that goes to the CTE .. cos then SBS buses which are NOT turning left have to come out of the bus lane to at least the next lane to avoid being in that left-turn only lane ..

Yes, it's blue outfit day ... lol. Actually, I bought this pack of RL bodysuits (pack of 3 for a friend who recently had a baby boy but ended up giving her a red packet instead so decided that Calista would use the rompers .. nevermind that it's blue ..)

A month has flown by ...

taken just moments ago with my phone camera - I love the bluetooth feature on my mini notebook .. so convenient to transfer photos ...

Calista is already 1 month old !! And she weighs 5kg now .. gosh, no wonder she feels heavy (to me la) .. I'm useless when it comes to carrying babies .. I'm very pro-stroller .. lol. All my girls know mummy will not carry ... sit on the stroller or don't go with mummy ... I always threaten them ...
