My baby and I ..

yea yea yea .. u can't really see my baby properly .. I KNOW. I was just happy with the way I LOOKED in this photo .. I am terribly unphotogenic .. took me YEARS to be ok about being in photos .. so I was surprised to see this photo turn out ok :)

This was taken with my Samsung Omnia .. it's one of the better photos I've taken with it. Unfortunately, while I really love my Omnia to bits (plus it's RED so I love it even more) .. the camera kinda SUCKS (well, to me it does)

Especially the flash .. the photos ALWAYS come out overexposed and washed out. It's AWFUL. So I've permanently switched off the flash and take all my photos without it.

The camera may be 5 megapixels but I SWEAR my 3 megapixel Nokia N73 took so much better photos.

and yes, when the man is away ... I miss him loads .. when he's here, I sometimes feel like strangling him.

He's in the States right now for work .. he has been away for a week now. He'll be back on Monday. Hope he remembered to get my perfume and my Coach handbag. Oh yeah, the poor man was given a list of things to buy before he left.

I sure hope he didn't buy me a WHITE handbag. I don't understand WHY he keeps buying me WHITE handbags .. hasn't he noticed that I don't carry WHITE handbags? My friend says maybe that's because he thinks since you don't have WHITE handbags .. he should buy u some. huh. That actually makes sense .. lol. So this time, I specifically told him .. no WHITE handbags, no BLUE handbags, no GREEN handbags .. I'm ok with brown, black and red.

Yes, in case you're wondering, he has so far bought me TWO white handbags. I haven't used either one.

Ain't it just beautiful? .. It's the Honda Crossroad .. and yes, it is a 7 seater ... but it looks way cooler than a regular MPV ... Hubby saw me ogling one in our carpark and asked me whether I wanted to trade ours in and get that ..

I think I nearly fainted when he said that ... He asked me to call up the Honda showroom to see if they had it and whether we could go down for a testdrive ..

Turned out Honda doesn't bring it in ..

Lol. It's a parallel import ...

DAMN .. hubby isn't keen on parallel imports cos of some horror stories he's read in the papers about them ..

My blardy hubby ...

2 days ago, hubby came home and after he had changed etc, he wandered into the kitchen to ask what we were having for dinner ..

Upon hearing that we had made this particular chicken dish that he didn't like ... he said. "Haiyah .. why that chicken dish? I don't like it" .. Of course I already knew he didn't like it ... this wasn't the first time I had prepared this particular dish and this also wasn't the first time he had expressed his dislike for it .. but the REST of us were fine with it ... and since I WAS THE BOSS in the kitchen ... my answer was .. "too bad .. just eat - the girls all like it and so do I (and my maid)" I also threw in a "Don't be PICKY!" at him ...

My blardy hubby ... looked pointedly at me and said cheekily ... "eh, you call me PICKY??? If I had been picky ......."

hahaha ... I have known the man for almost 20 years .. I KNEW WHAT HE WAS SAYING without him SAYING it ..

I hooted with laughter and replied ... "Too bad ... married already ... 4 kids ... IT'S TOO LATE to change your mind AND BE PICKY" ..

My hubby has strange ideas on what passes for fun ...

Did I tell you that we went to the science centre on the first day of CNY to see the solar eclipse? Yup, uncle thought it would be educational for the kids instead of always ending up at the mall .. so there we were .. all 8 of us .. yes, EIGHT ... he dragged HIS poor non-English probably don't know and don't give a rat's ass about the eclipse 67 year old Teochew speaking mother along with us after the CNY lunch at the airport ... lol. Now, I went to school and did science in secondary school and pre-u, and I don't give a hoot about the solar eclipse ... what more HIS MOTHER??!!

True enough, she had absolutely no clue what an eclipse was ... I think hubby had problems even finding the Chinese words for "solar eclipse" ..

So there we were at the blardy Science Centre with my MIL ... 4 kids, my maid (who also doesn't give a hoot about the eclipse) and it was a long long queue. I was really surprised. Mind you, it was the 1st day of the CNY .. the vast majority of the people in the queue were Chinese .. er, was I wrong or were they supposed to visit their parents on that first day of the New Year? .. lol.

The minute Calista started fussing .. I scuttled off with her to look for a bench to sit on and nurse her ... and then I immediatedly sms-ed my hubby and told him that I wasn't interested in the solar eclipse and that to come look for me once they were done.

sigh.

I have a new phone !!

Yes, hubby decided to get me a belated birthday/wedding anniversary gift .. he got me a RED Samsung Omnia .. !!! Yay!!

Ok, let me first say .. while the touchscreen is cool .. it is a damn pain in the a** when it comes to SMS-ing ...

Damn it. Hubby was saying that now it'll take me at least 5 min to respond to an SMS.

Ya, man .. plus Nokia interface is sooooo userfriendly (admittedly) .. that it's hard to switch to something else .. in this case, the Omnia is running on Windows Mobile .. ie it's a Pocket PC .. so if you (like me) prefer the Palm OS .. then the Omnia is not for you.

There goes my "SMS-ing while driving" days. LOL !

So while the Omnia LOOKS cool ... if you're like me and rack up 1000 sms-es in a month, then stick to a Nokia.

Pet dryer ...

yes, it's like a hair dryer but for dogs ...

Hubby has decided that he wants to bathe our Golden Retriever instead of sending her for grooming on alternate weeks .. the aim isn't so much to save money but it's so that we can groom her more often ... bathing her isn't really that difficult .. hubby brings her down to the basement carpark of our condo and connects a hose to the tap there and starts bathing her (much like how u would wash your car .. haha) ... we can't bathe her in our bathrooms cos her fur will choke up my floordrain. Bathing her isn't the problem .. DRYING her is ... I can't use my hairdryer cos she's too big and has too much fur ... I've tried believe me, and my hairdryer died first before I even got halfway to drying her body. It didn't die really ... just overheated and then we had to wait for a really long time for it to work again.

So here's what it looks like ... we bought it off the net from the States .. they have something similar here but of course more expensive (duh .. stupid petshops here) .. even with shipping to Singapore, it was still cheaper to get it online ..
